Martin D18 de 1935. en dépôt-vente. Essai on RDV.

Martin D18 1935
In 1931, Martin launched the famous dreadnought form (name of American armored) with two trim levels D18 (normal) and D28 (luxury). Since then, all the major brands have picked up this silhouette, Gibson Taylor. This form, template 15.5 ', allowed the player and country guitarists playing in a group, to have a material with a more powerful sound with more sustain.
The first D Martin had 12 frets off the body. They spend 14 frets end 1934 and are in 1935 catalog. They advanced and refined braces until 1939, because the guitarists who wanted to play harder so big rods rising from the tables that were veiled. The braces were therefore dropped, to the detriment of the original heat. 1934/1939 is called the "golden era" among aficionados Martin.
It is a real piece of history that is now in Guitar Select.
This guitar, No. 60356, may have belonged to Tom Rush, famous folk artist of the 60’ USA, completely unknown in Europe, hence the R on the head.
Bought in the US, it arrived on the French Riviera in 1967 and Lyon in recent years. She had no change since.
Various works have been carried out throughout its journey to us with a very old overspray protects it from the ravages of time (80 years anyway). The tuners have been replaced long ago by Grover, much more efficient, super easy neck (very rare at that time).
Martin Case 70 'non original.
